The doors to Howling Hollow will open at 12:30pm on Saturday October 3rd. Please feel free to line up prior to that time along the main hallway, going towards the lobby. Those who need assistance from our Disability Services Department may enter the room prior to the official door opening time as we have a special waiting area for you.
After entering the room, please follow directions provided by staff in colored vests (red, yellow & blue) as well as over the PA system as they guide you into place. Feel free to take your head off and get comfortable while we get all of our fuzzy friends into the room. There will be staff roaming the lines providing water and air from leaf blowers. There will also be no photography allowed in the room at this time.
If you are a handler: After entering the room please follow staffs directions to the designated handler waiting area. You will be reunited with your fursuiter as they leave the room for the parade.
Once everyone is in place we will take the photo.
We do not anticipate filling the room / having to turn anyone away at the door due to a max capacity.
Fursuit Parade
Immediately after the photo we will begin the parade and fallow one of the routes shown in the maps below. A judgment call based on the weather and current conditions outside will be made at 11:30am Saturday morning and announced on out social media channels.
All outside sections of the route are flat and paved. However, if you are not comfortable taking your suit outside, you may peal off of the parade and stay in the Main Events room until the parade has ended. If you do not want to partake in the parade at all, you may remain in the Howling Hollow until everyone has left the room for the parade.
The parade route will do through the Dealers Den during their lunch break so that they can have a chance to view it as well. Please do not stop to shop during the parade.
Other Notes:
Prior to the fursuit photo some of the fans will be removed from the Fursuit Lounge and relocated to Howling Hollow. They will be put back after the event.
If you partook in the Fursuit Games in Howling Hollow prior to the photo and intend to partake in the photo as well, you will need to exit the room and join the line outside.
We have an extremely limited amount of thank you gifts (fursuiter badges) to give to fursuiters this year. Please arrive very early to the event if you are interested in getting one.
Only fursuits will be allowed to partake in the fursuit photo. Those wearing halloween costumes (ex spiderman, Storm Trooper, or plague doctor) will be turned away at the door. Poodeling is just fine.
